Preparation of a Functional and Utility Programme for the visualisation, control and supervisory system serving the process facilities at the Goczałkowice Water Treatment Plant.

The assignment comprised the preparation of a Functional and Utility Programme for process facilities located at the Goczałkowice Water Treatment Plant, covering the electrical and instrumentation and control disciplines (visualisation, control and supervisory system). The work was commissioned by Górnośląskie Przedsiębiorstwo Wodociągów Spółka Akcyjna, 19 Wojewódzka Street, 40-026 Katowice, under the contract entitled ‘Preparation of a Functional and Utility Programme for the visualisation, control and supervisory system serving the process facilities at the Goczałkowice Water Treatment Plant’.

The purpose of the assignment was to prepare a Functional and Utility Programme (hereinafter: PFU) for the electrical and instrumentation and control disciplines, defining the scope of works, technical and quality parameters, and functional characteristics that would form the principal guidelines for the design and execution of the construction project to modernise the visualisation, control and supervisory system serving the process facilities at the Goczałkowice Water Treatment Plant.

In accordance with the Client’s commission, the assignment covered:
1. Preparation of a Functional and Utility Programme (PFU) for the visualisation, control and supervisory system serving the process facilities at the Goczałkowice Water Treatment Plant,
2. Preparation of the Client’s cost estimate covering design-work costs and the planned construction costs specified in the Functional and Utility Programme.
1.6 Project location
The project will be implemented in Goczałkowice-Zdrój, a spa village in southern Poland; Śląskie Voivodeship, Pszczyna County, Municipality of Goczałkowice-Zdrój.
